Apple and Sage Glazed Thanksgiving Turkey

You Will Need:
    • Thanksgiving Herb Blend – Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme, 1 container, whole leaves (to stuff Turkey)
    • Sage, 3 Tbsp, chopped fresh leaves (in addition to the container of herb blend)
    • Turkey, 1 each, 15-20 lbs, thawed
    • Garlic, 1 whole head, cut in half
    • Butter, 1 Tbsp
    • Red Onion, ½ cup, finely chopped
    • Granny Smith Apples, 3 each, finely chopped
    • Apple Cider, 2 cups
    • Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 cup
    • Sugar, ¾ cup
    • Salt and Pepper, 2 Tbsp of each
Recipe Serves:

Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 2. In a saucepan melt butter and add in onion and apple. Cook 3-4 minutes or until soft, then add sugar, cider vinegar, and apple cider. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and cook 10 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and cool slightly, then puree in a blender 3. While the glaze is cooking, thoroughly wash and dry turkey inside and out. Season with salt and pepper and stuff with whole container of herb blend and head of garlic. Place breast side up in a roasting pan 4. Brush turkey all over with glaze and roast in the oven for 1 hour on 400, then reduce heat to 325 and continue roasting 3-4 hours or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees, basting every 30 minutes.
