Thai Basil Shrimp

You Will Need:

  • Thai Basil, ¼ cup, chiffonade
  • Fresh Shrimp, ½ pound, raw
  • Lime Juice, 1 Tbsp
  • Red Chili Pepper, 1 each, thinly sliced
  • Shallot, 1 each, finely chopped
  • Soy Sauce, 1 Tbsp
  • Honey, ½ Tbsp
  • Vegetable Oil, 2 Tbsp
  • Salt, 1 tsp
  • Pepper, 1 tsp

Recipe Serves: 4

Instructions:
1. In a small bowl combine 1 Tbsp oil with honey, soy sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Add shrimp, cover, and let marinate for 30 minutes
2. Preheat a large sauté pan or wok with remaining 1 Tbsp oil. Add sliced peppers and shallots and cook for 1 minute. Add shrimp with all of the marinade and cook over high heat 3-4 minutes or until shrimp is full cooked.
3. Remove from heat and toss in Thai Basil.
4. Serve warm with steamed white rice
