Thai Basil Shrimp
You Will Need:
- Thai Basil, ¼ cup, chiffonade
- Fresh Shrimp, ½ pound, raw
- Lime Juice, 1 Tbsp
- Red Chili Pepper, 1 each, thinly sliced
- Shallot, 1 each, finely chopped
- Soy Sauce, 1 Tbsp
- Honey, ½ Tbsp
- Vegetable Oil, 2 Tbsp
- Salt, 1 tsp
- Pepper, 1 tsp
Recipe Serves: 4
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl combine 1 Tbsp
oil with honey, soy sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Add shrimp,
cover, and let marinate for 30 minutes
2. Preheat a large sauté pan
or wok with remaining 1 Tbsp oil. Add sliced peppers and shallots and
cook for 1 minute. Add shrimp with all of the marinade and cook over
high heat 3-4 minutes or until shrimp is full cooked.
3. Remove from heat and toss in Thai Basil.
4. Serve warm with steamed white rice
